Dr. Samwel Okeri Asamba is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Actuarial Science at Kisii University, Kenya. He holds a PhD in Pure Mathematics from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, an MSc in Mathematics from Kisii University, and a Bachelor of Education (Mathematics and Geography) from Kenyatta University.
His research interests include Functional Analysis, Convex Optimization, Operator Theory, Approximation Theory, and Nonlinear Analysis, with particular emphasis on semi-continuous functions and optimization in (L^p)-spaces. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in these areas in international journals.
Dr. Asamba teaches undergraduate and postgraduate mathematics courses, supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research, and is actively engaged in research and community service. His current research focuses on functional analysis and convex optimization, with particular interest in the theory and applications of (L^p)-spaces.
