Plan your route to study with us.

Choose a programme, confirm your application route with our Admissions Office, then apply for a Kenyan Student’s Pass after you receive an offer. Each stage has a different authority and set of documents.

Review the entry criteria and current intake on its programme page.

Submit your application
Self-sponsored applications are online. Contact our Admissions Office to confirm the route and documents for your international application.

Confirm your qualification
Ask our Admissions Office whether your foreign qualification needs recognition and equation by CUE. Provide certified copies and official English translations where required.

Apply for your Student’s Pass
After admission, follow the current Immigration checklist. Our authorised staff complete the institution’s sections of the application.

Prepare your application

Academic certificates and transcripts for the programme you choose.
Certified copies in the format we request.
Official English translations for documents issued in another language, where required.
A valid passport and contact details for application follow-up.

Entry grades vary by programme. We will advise if a foreign qualification needs recognition or equation by CUE; it is subject to CUE recognition criteria and does not replace meeting the programme entry criteria.

Student pass documents

The Directorate of Immigration Services lists a valid passport, academic records, a sponsor commitment letter and the sponsor’s passport details. It also requires proof of funds for self-sponsored students. Our authorised staff must complete, sign and stamp Form 30. We also provide an Immigration cover letter confirming your course and its duration. Other documents may be required, so check the current Immigration checklist before you apply.

The Directorate of Immigration Services requires documents in another language to have an English translation by an Embassy, public notary or authorised institution. If you are under 18, check its current list of parent or guardian documents.

Important study and work rules

Do not begin your studies in Kenya until your Student’s Pass has been issued.
Your Student’s Pass permits study at the approved institution. It does not authorise trade or employment.
Keep your pass valid and follow Immigration instructions for renewals or changes.
We assess your application; the Directorate of Immigration Services decides your Student’s Pass application.
