The Certificate in Information Technology programme introduces students to the essential concepts and practical skills required to use, support and manage basic information technology resources. Students gain foundational knowledge in computer applications, computer hardware and software, operating systems, internet technologies, basic programming, database concepts, networking and information security. The programme emphasises hands-on learning, enabling students to install and use common software, troubleshoot basic computer problems, manage digital information and support users in office and service environments. It also develops communication, teamwork, problem-solving and responsible technology-use skills. The programme prepares graduates for entry-level employment in ICT support and office technology roles, self-employment in basic digital services, or progression to diploma-level study in information technology, computer science and related fields.
