The Bachelor of Software Engineering programme prepares students to plan, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain reliable software systems. It combines computing knowledge with disciplined engineering approaches used to manage the full software development life cycle. Students build competence in programming, software architecture, requirements engineering, database systems, user-interface design, software testing, quality assurance, project management, secure software development and emerging development technologies. The programme also develops teamwork, communication, documentation, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are essential in professional software projects. Through practical exercises and project-based learning, students learn to create software solutions that are usable, secure, scalable and responsive to organisational and societal needs. Graduates are prepared for professional practice, technology entrepreneurship, research and advanced study in software engineering and related disciplines.
